The new border czar was blunt and clear.
Everyone gets their day in court. We have immigration courts, they have attorneys we probably pay for, and they probably have an appeals process too
At the end of the day, "if the immigration courts decide they have to go home, they will be deported". Otherwise, why do we have courts?
It's not like they're simply going to be herded up and deported. I think if you're working and paying taxes and obeying our laws as a resident, you're chances of staying improve megafold
I also believe the real intent is to secure our borders and discourage ongoing illegal immigration
I have a client, a home owner, a business owner who employs people, who was required to return to Brazil for six months and then legally return to this country. His partner ran the business
I also have another business owner, home owner, with two children, deported to Poland. He was caught DUI on multiple occasions. His case worker told him he has one more chance, and he failed. If he's found in the country, he's going to jail. His wife and kids are here, she became a nurse.
